AP Comparative Government and Politics

Mr. Sommer

Part One. Please choose 3 policies that a political party in Great Britain could have opinions about (ex. crime, health, terrorism). Using the following web sites you need to find out the positions of each of five parties on the above policies. Do not choose something too unique for a policy.

Part Two. After fully finishing the party policies our next set of questions concerns what is similar and what seems different about each party. Below please compare and contrast the five parties above.

Part Three. Using the web sites supplied (beyond just the three issues you investigated) articulate below which party you would support if you lived in England. Include why you would not support some of the others.

Part One will be graded by box. Each box that is properly filled out will get 4 points. That means 5 parties x 3 issues = 15 boxes or 60 homework points.

Part Two will be judged using 10 points for each of the compare and contrast. 20 homework points.

Part Three will be judged using 20 points for an articulate, clear, well reasoned analysis on which party you would favor and which party’s policies are wrong in your view.
