Happy Summer!

Welcome to my class!  I’m very excited about the new school year. I can’t wait to meet you! I wanted to send you a list of supplies, so that you and your parents can do a little bit of shopping this weekend - if possible. If you and your parents cannot do it this weekend or if there are any difficulties, please let me know. Here’s the list of supplies you’ll need to get started. You may bring them in on the first day of school, and we'll place them in your cubbies until it is time to use everything.  I’m pretty sure that you will need more pencils and tissue (kleenex) throughout the year. Kleenex boxes and pencils will be shared with the entire class. Thank you.

a few erasers

handheld pencil sharpener

one yellow highlighter

one packet of 3x5 lined index cards 

index card holder (it’s a box) (for 3x5 cards)

one, white 1 ½' three-ring binder

one large packet of wide-rule, loose-leaf notebook paper

Three pocket folders (make sure they already have 3 holes)

three hole punch (to insert in binder)

one elementary level dictionary (for home use)

a student thesaurus (for home use)

a rhyming dictionary (optional)

homework folder

report cover(s) for future reports (for home use)

kleenex

snack (daily)

Make sure to have glue, scissors, crayons, etc. available at home for projects and reports. The school will provide these for classroom use only.
