This eUpdate brings news of happenings in Connecticut and Massachusetts of interest for anyone whose life is graced by the presence of gifted and talented children. 
JOIN US IN WESTPORT FOR “MINDS IN MOTION” FEATURING DR. NED HALLOWELL, NATIONALLY KNOWN AUTHOR:
The sixth annual Westport “Minds in Motion” event, on Sat. March 29 from 12:30-4pm, will be held at Coleytown Middle School, 255 North Avenue in Westport.
 
A highlight of the event will be a Keynote Address and adult workshop by Dr. Edward (Ned) Hallowell, author of The Childhood Roots of Adult Happiness: Five Steps to Help Kids Create and Sustain Lifelong Joy; CrazyBusy: Overbooked, Overstretched, and about to Snap, and Driven to Distraction, among many others.There will be no charge for Dr. Hallowell’s talks, although pre-registration will be required.

DIFFERENTIATION EXPERT DR. CAROL ANN TOMLINSON COMES TO NEW CANAAN APRIL 16, 2008!

How do teachers achieve effective instruction for all      learners in one classroom?  What can parents do to be sure differentiated learning is working for their child?
 
On April 16th, 2008, nationally-known differentiation expert and author Dr. Carol Ann Tomlinson will visit New Canaan to present “Differentiation and High Ability Learners:  What Parents Need to Know."   Dr. Tomlinson’s lecture will be followed by a question and answer session.
