Fascinating Philadelphia

 With Broadway's Longest Running Musical,
The Phantom of the Opera!
Tuesday, April 1st - Wednesday, April 2nd 2008    2 Days/3 Meals
 
DAY ONE Tuesday April 1st  Meals: Dinner provided
 6:30 am Prompt departure from Roton Middle School as we head for historic Philadelphia, with a comfort stop enroute.
10:30 am Visit the National Liberty Museum with a combination of art, historical and interactive exhibits celebrating our nation's heritage of freedom and tolerance, diversity and non-violence.
12:00 noon Lunch on own at The Bourse (meaning place of exchange) Food Court at Independence Mall with over a dozen dining options and souvenir shops.
 1:15 pm Arrive at the groundbreaking museum, the National Constitution Center on Independence Mall.  Here we'll see a multimedia presentation (at 1:30 pm) before viewing unique interactive exhibits.
 2:30 pm Our expert costumed guides meet us here for a walking tour of historic Philadelphia.
 3:30 pm Line up for security check before our timed entry to Independence Hall.  Timed entries are:  80 people @ 4pm & 30 people @ 4:15pm.
 4:45 pm Depart.
 5:00 pm Enjoy dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse (1026 Spring Garden St @ Broad St.) with pre-selected choices of:  (choose 3 from the following) Spaghetti w/ Meatballs, Meat Lasagna, Manicotti, Fettuccini Alfredo or Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad.   Note:  Menu slips will be required and once seated, will need to be presented to your servers.

Free activity to be announced....could be photo opportunity, browsing, visiting the waterfront, etc.

 7:30 pm Arrive for a 7:50 pm & 8 pm timed entries to the Lights of Liberty Show where we'll experience the American Revolution as it happened, during this outdoor sound & light spectacular.  Headsets provide full surround sound with narration telling the story of our nation's birth and experience special effects and imaging projected upon the buildings where historic events actually took place.  (Weather permitting).
 9:45 pm Approximate departure for Cherry Hill.
10:00 Approximate arrival/check-in to the newly renovated Holiday Inn Cherry Hill, New Jersey (856-663-5300).
 

DAY TWO Wednesday April 2nd  Meals: Breakfast and Lunch provided

 7:00 am Enjoy a breakfast in a private room at our hotel.
 8:15 am Check out and depart for New York City.
11:00 am Arrive for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe with pre-selected choices of:  Hard Rock Cheeseburger, Bacon Cheeseburger, Cajun Chicken Sandwich, Veggie Burger, or BBQ Pork Sandwich.  Following lunch we'll have free time to explore Times Square.
 1 pm Meet and depart, arriving at the Majestic Theatre by 1:30 pm where we'll take our (Rear Mezzanine) seats for the 2 pm performance of Phantom of the Opera, Broadway's longest running musical.  Running time:  2 hrs., 30 mins.
 4:30 pm Approximate departure for home, arriving at Roton Middle School approximately 6-6:15 pm.
